Meet Stickman-Kettering U

I don't know about any of you, but when I went to college (the first time, the second time and maybe even the third time) I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I studied psychology and then worked in the field for about a month. Then I studied Accounting and I worked in the field for about, well one TAX SEASON!! I sure wish I had been able to get a "feel" for the field of work before I finished school.

At Kettering U you can do just that. They offer real co-ops for freshman that places you actually in the field that you are studying. What?? You can actually get some experience in the field before you get a job there?? That’s right.

Deciding what college to attend is a huge decision. Take some time and check out Kettering U. Gosh even US News and World Report has ranked Kettering University as one of US News Best Colleges saying it's "the #1 University in the nation for Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering" in its annual "America's Best Colleges Guide for 2008". If mechanical engineering is your choice, they have it. How about biochemistry or business. Yep, they’ve got those choices as well.

Watch this cute episode of Stickman talking about Kettering U. It will give you a little insight into what Kettering U has to offer.

Nintendo Wii-Free

So, do you have one of these yet? Santa we got the boys one for Christmas and it is so much fun. I even use it for my workouts sometimes. The boxing game is a killer. All 4 of us enjoy the bowling. And it’s fun to do the fitness age test to see how old young you are. I’ve ranged everywhere from 28 to 65. I think it all depends on what sports you end up being tested on. I’m terrible at golf and one of the tennis games. The boys really enjoy playing Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. And we even have a trivia game that we play. They have several of these types of games.

What I like best about the Wii is that it’s interactive. While you don’t really have to move all that much to play, you CAN move a lot. It helps you to get up off the couch and get moving. I think that later this year or maybe next year they are even coming out with Wii Fitness. Now that will be fun!

Wouldn’t you like a change to win a free Wii? Come on, who wouldn’t? Click Here for a Chance to Win a Nintendo® Wii™! It’s easy I promise. The winner will receive a Nintendo Wii Console, Wii Stand, 5 Sports games ( Boxing, Baseball, Tennis, Golf and bowling), 1 Remote Controller, 1 Nunchuk Controller, 1 Sensor Bar, 1 Wii AC Adapter, 1 Wii AV Cable. You are ready to play, no other equipment needed.

And while you’re clicking away, check out Charter for a chance to bid on Charter High Speed internet for Life!!! Bidding starts at $10.

We interrupt this program-Be Oyster Aware

I am not a good joke teller-just ask my family. But I do sometimes crack myself up- so if I’m the only one that thinks this silly little joke is funny- that’s ok- I’m used to it.

What did the Momma oyster say to her baseball playing son oyster? “Are you
kidding me, don’t you know you never slide in head first!”

See, I told you- not so funny! Here’s something that isn’t funny at all-while oysters can be a very healthy food to eat - people with certain health risks can get really sick from eating Gulf oysters. It’s important to know the facts- so check those facts, and much more info- out at Be Aware Oyster!

Greenville, SC area church

If you live in SC and you’re looking at churches in Greenville SC area perhaps Westminster Presbyterian Church would be a good fit for you and your family? Looking at the information provided on their website, Westminster appears to be a church that provides opportunities for all people. Do you enjoy music? Do you have young children or youth that you’d like to get involved with other Christians? Are you looking for a Christian atmosphere for a preschool or day school for your younger children? Then Westminster Presbyterian may be the place for you. Want to get a feel for what worship is like at WPC? You can view and/or listen to sermons by Pastor Ludwig L. Weaver, Jr.

Go ahead and check them out, or find another church in your area to attend- we’ve all heard there is strength in numbers-why not draw your strength from other Christians!

Paintball- Safe Mom!!

I don’t know about your boys kids but mine are dying to try playing paintball. They’ve never participated in it before but they've started talking about getting a group of boys together for their next combined birthday party and going to play paintball.

Now I don’t know much about paintball but I do know that you need to be well equipped in order to play well. And I also know that just any old paintball equipment won’t do. I’m sure they are going to want the best and they are going to want EVERYTHING! So going with tippmann a-5 or maybe Ion, Spyder or Proto Rail will be the direction we head in I'm sure!

I can just see them now, maneuvering around the field of play, probably playing Woodsball aiming for each other first- my boys are competitive that way. Of course being the good Mom that I am, they’ll be decked out in their protective gear- gloves, chest protectors, pads, pants, etc. Should I be saying "You'll put your eye out"? Nope, cause they'll be wearing their goggles too!

When I'm ready to make the dive into purchasing all of this equipment for them I know I can head over to Ultimate Paintball and get everything I need- including FREE SHIPPING! Do I hear Christmas bells ringing?

I signed up for Pay Per Post!

Get paid to post on my own blog! You’re kidding right? That’s what I thought anyway. I had heard about Pay Per Post but I’d never really looked into it until I was reading my friend Amy's blog the other day and saw that she had actually made money using Pay Per Post!

Stop for a moment so you can hear the bells and whistles going off in my head. Do you see the light bulb flashing!! Well, that is exactly what happened, I swear I really heard and saw them! I went right to the PPP website and looked around. Seemed pretty legit.

I’ll be honest I was a bit skeptical but thought I’d go a head and give it a try. Why so skeptical you ask? We’ll I’ve been looking for a way to earn some extra income but wanted to be able to do it here from home so I’d be here for my kiddos. I had been burned on a few “get paid to do this” or “make money with each ad you post” Little did I know that meant setting up an account so I could get other suckers people to pay ME to send them an e-mail telling them to set up an account to get others to pay them, etc etc. Not my cup of tea- and believe me I e-mailed that person right back and told her I felt I’d been scammed. Wonder how many of those types of e-mails she gets in a day? I wonder if she even cares!

So fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! I did some research, plus I really trust Amy so I bit the bullet and signed up for Pay Per Post. I am so glad that I did! I’m so excited about the possibility of earning a little extra cash for the household budget. I get to write about specific things on my blog and I get to make lots of new friends on the payperpost blog/forums! Not to mention I can make a little money! What could be better! So, sit back and enjoy the ride- I’m gonna be postin’ about all kinds of stuff interesting information now.
