WFMW-Podcasts

Ok, the last time Sharon had backwards WFMW I asked about podcasts and how to download them. Well, since then I have become a podcast addict. I'm serious y'all. I just can't seem to get my iPod out of my ears. I even take it with me in the car and plug it right in as soon as I get in.

So, want to know what I'm listening to- of course you do- or you probably wouldn't still be reading. I have several favorites but these two are at the top of my list:

They are Five, Fun, Forty-Something, Fabulous, Friends who talk about life, love, marriage, mothers, and more. We support, encourage, listen, talk, and love together. Of course, we ALWAYS laugh along the way

Y'all, these ladies are AWESOME! I have downloaded ALL of their podcasts- and they started in May 2006. I'm making my way through all of them. That's pretty much all I've listened to since Friday. I just love, love, love these ladies. They've made me laugh. They've made my cry. They've made me go...hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuu! (ok, that's my best impression of Suzanne sucking in air when she's shocked)!

I swear these ladies must be living inside of my head because I just hear so much of myself in all of them!!! and guess what- I've discovered that I really am a DIVA! (even in this house full of testosterone!!) And guess what- they make exercising and housecleaning fly by!!!

Check out their website: TheDivaCast

Two Southern mama-bloggers, Big Mama and BooMama talk about all the important stuff: faith, family, friends, fashion and food. Plus, of course, our hair

These ladies are great as well. Funny! They each have their own blogs and then when they get together on the podcast they are hilarious!

Here are a few others that I listen to:

Everyday Moments provides a quick, practical thought from Joyce surrounded with biblical insight and wisdom that’s intended to challenge and inspire you to live a godly and relevant life in the good and bad “everyday moments” of your life. They’re short, sweet and to the point. So take them with you as you go about your day and share them with your family and friends.

I just discovered that creating them isn't THAT difficult either, and I was able to install a player right on my sidebar so people can click an article and listen.

I'm new to podcasting, but the whole thing is fascinating. Thanks for the suggestions!

That's great! I probably listen to 3 or more hours of podcasts each week myself (a minimum of 3 and probably up to 5 or 6 some weeks). I agree--it's great around the house when I'm trying to get some work done.

In fact, maybe I'll go listen up now. I'll have to try some of those. The only one I've heard is BigBoo.

Thanks for the suggestions - the Diva podcast sounds like something I would love to listen to.

Beth! You are the SWEETEST thing to put The Divas on your site. You are definitely a Diva Sista! We encourage all of your readers to come on over and hang out on TheDivaCast (www.TheDivaCast.com). We love the Manic Mommies, too and I also wanted to mention, Girlfriendology at www.Girlfriendology.com. Debba is awesome and we're happy to encourage you to listen to her and read her blog--only once you get caught up on TheDivaCast, of course :) Thanks so much...just beware, you just may hear your name mentioned on an upcoming show.
Love,
"Diva" Carrie
