I need to get it together!

Ever just feel like you are out of control? I don't really know what's going on with me but I'm just feeling out of control. It's not that I have too much to do or that I'm behind on things. Just the opposite I guess. I have too much time on my hands. No wait, I guess there is plenty that I could/should be doing- playing games with the kids, reading my Bible, doing my devotions, etc. But do I do those things? No! Instead I get on the computer and stay on the computer and stay on the computer and stay on the computer. Or I pick up a book and start reading and lose track of time and I'm still reading 2 hours later. Meanwhile I have the nerve to fuss at the kids for staying inside and not "doing anything". What a hypocrite! I need to get it together. But how?

Well, here is what I plan to do. I want to start having my devotion first thing in the morning. No putting it off, no reading e-mails first, no exercising first. I need to exercise my soul before exercising my body. I'm want to start setting a timer when I get on the computer or pick up a book- 20 min, or 30 min. or whatever. Then I have to go and do something more productive. I want to make sure I play something with the boys everyday. I need to be enjoying this time- they'll be grown and out of the house before I know it!!!

So those are my goals- I need to stick to them and make them habit- will you pray for me that I"ll be able to do this???

I'll pray for you if you'll pray for me! Summer is so much harder for me because of the lack of structure, kids spending the night, knocking at the door, etc. We can just encourage each other, okay?

Beth, are you my long-lost sister? Because, you are exactly like me. Except, we're Clemson fans here :)

Good goals, Beth. I'm having a hard time getting things done, too. I keep putting stuff off, or thinking I don't have enough time, or staying on the computer too long. I need to think about some good strategies, too.
