31 Day Fitness Challenge


My twitter and bloggy buddy Amber has set a challenge for the month of January. She wants to exercise every day during January in hopes of starting a great habit! She was challenged by her hubby to do this. She's gonna blog about it each day and guess what? She posted about this on Twitter and invited others to join in on the fun! I've decided to join her in the challenge. I'm not sure yet if I'll write every day or just weekly- but I'm gonna join!

Life has been pretty crazy lately but I've actually been doing really good in the exercise area. I've exercised almost every day for the last month so I'm hoping that will carry right over into January.

I'll even be brave and post my starting weight- 141.8

My goals for the challenge are:

Exercise daily-pretty obvious, huh!!??!!

Drink 8 glasses of water a day- I'm horrible about this one

Cut way back on the sweets and increase fruits/veggies

Run at least 1/2 mile on the treadmill (consecutive-right now I can run 1 mile but I break that up in 1/4 mile increments while walking in between). I'm hoping to be able to run a 5K by the end of the yr.

Would you like to join too? Even if you've missed the first few days, you can still jump right in!

I'll list the different DVDs that I'm using in hopes of giving others some ideas.

Oh, here's what I did the past two days for exercise:

Jan. 1- I Want THAT Body by Tami Webb then walked 3 miles in the afternoon

Jan. 2- 2 miles on the treadmill- ran 4 different 1/4 laps
